7.0 Stand Up and Related Functions

7.1 Chest strap height

Setting the height of the chest strap. (Fig.7.1)
• Release the Allen screws (1) on the side rail locking
ring on either side of the chest strap. (Fig.7.2)
• Adjust the chest strap to a suitable height.
• If needed a second chest strap can be attached to the
side rails from the bottom. (Fig.7.3).
• Tighten the Allen screws.
• To open the chest strap, undo the Velcro flap on the
padded section. To close it pull the Velcro flap shut and
press firmly.
• To adjust the length of the chest strap use the buckles
on both sides of the straps.

7.2 Electric Standing function

The Quickie Jive Up / QM-710 Stand Up has an electric
Standing function. This function makes it possible for the
user to stand up in the wheelchair.
WARNING!
• Before using the standing function ensure that the front
knee fixation is in place.
• Only use the standing function on a sound and level
surface.
• The stand up procedure automatically locks the front
and rear castor arm suspension.
• If the locking procedure fails the chair will automatically
stop in a safe position. The seat can always be
returned to the normally seated position in any mode.

7.3 Electric Lie Down function

The Quickie Jive Up / QM-710 Stand Up has an electric
lie down function. This function makes it possible for the
user to lie down in the wheelchair.
WARNING!
• Only use the lie down function on a sound and level
surface.
• The lie down procedure automatically locks the front
and rear castor arms.
• If the locking procedure fails the chair will automatically
stop in a safe position. The seat can always be
returned to the normally seated position in any mode.

7.4 Electric Relax function

The Quickie Jive Up / QM-710 Stand Up has an electric
relax seating function. This function makes it possible for
the user to come to a relaxed seating position in the
wheelchair.

7.5 Electric Transfer function

The Quickie Jive Up / QM-710 Stand Up has an electric
transfer function. This function makes it possible for the
user to transfer in and out of the wheelchair.

7.6 Electric Seating function

The Quickie Jive Up / QM-710 Stand Up has an electric
seating function. This function is the seat position to
which all the Memory seat positions described above
come back to by pulling the Joystick into the backward
direction when in the seating memory mode.

DANGER!
When the standing, or lie down function is used, the
centre of gravity is moved away from the original safe
position into a raised or retracted position. This can
increase the likelihood of tipping over. So only use this
seat function on a level floor and drive in the lowest
speed. Not doing so could lead to personal injury.
