Change the setting to match the equipment you are
connecting with.
≥If picture output is not smooth, change the setting.
AV Output
Choose the video signal format to be output from the AV
terminal.
Component Resolution
This sets the video output resolution when using the
component video terminal.
Set according to the signal and terminal of the connected
TV.
Speaker
You can set the unit to output the best possible sound for
your speakers. Select "2-Channel" if the speaker settings
can be set on the connected equipment.
HDMI
HDMI Video Mode
Select "On" when video is output from HDMI AV OUT
terminal.
HDMI Video Format
You can only select settings compatible with the connected
equipment. This setting normally does not need to be
changed. However if you are concerned about output picture
quality, it may be improved by changing the setting.
Still pictures play at a resolution equivalent to 576p/480p
regardless of the settings.
HDMI Output Range
Effective when connected to a device that only supports
RGB output.
HDMI Audio Output
This setting selects whether or not to output audio from
HDMI.
[Note]: If "On" is selected, audio output from the 7.1ch AUDIO
OUT terminal will match the number of channels on
the equipment connected with HDMI.
Control with HDMI
Set to use "HDAVI Control" function when connected with an
HDMI cable to a device that supports "HDAVI Control".

Select how long the unit remains on when it is not being
used.

Easy Setting
You can execute basic settings ("Language"
"Speaker" setting).
Default Settings
This returns all values in the Setup menu and the On-screen
menu, except for "DVD-Video Ratings" and "Age limit for BD-
Video viewing" to the default settings.

Options (Underlined items are the factory presets.)
≥PAL:
Select when connecting to a PAL or multi-system
television. NTSC discs are played as PAL60.
]BD-V] This unit cannot convert BD-Video from
NTSC signals to PAL60 signals; therefore video
cannot be displayed properly when you connect
this unit to the AV terminal, VIDEO terminal or S
VIDEO terminal.
≥NTSC:
Select when connecting to a NTSC television.
NTSC discs are played as NTSC.
≥Video (with component):
Select when a TV is connected
that can receive a composite
signal.
≥S Video (with component): Select when a TV is connected
that can receive an S Video
signal.
≥RGB (without component): Select when a TV is connected
that can receive an RGB signal.

≥576p/480p
≥720p
≥1080i
480i, 480p: When playing NTSC discs
576i, 576p: When playing PAL discs
≥Multi-channel: When using three or more speakers with
equipment that cannot set the speaker
settings.
You can adjust the settings for speaker size,
