The Chicco Steril�aturalDigit electronic Steam Steriliser
uses the properties of steam to disinfect quickly and in a
natural way baby's feeding bottles, soothers and breast
feeding accessories: disinfection is an indispensable
procedure for a newborn baby's health because it
eliminates germs.
Easy to use, it can contain up to 4 Chicco feeding bottles,
as well as their accessories. Please read carefully the
following instructions and warnings before use, and keep
them for future reference.
This will ensure that you use the appliance in the best
way, guaranteeing maximum safety and longer product
life.
CHICCO GUARANTEES
• W ide ranging virucide action (Adenovirus
Type 5, Poliovirus Type 1), bactericide action
against common germs (Staphylococcus aureus,
Enterococcus faecium, Escherichia coli) and
fungicide action against Candida albicans.
• 5 hours of sterilisation, if the lid is not removed.
• E lectrically safe: IMQ certification.
• E quipment in compliance with the essential
requirements laid down in 2006/95/EC Directive
(electrical safety) and the norms laid down
in 2004/108/EC Directive (electromagnetic
compatibility).
• S ilent operation: it does not disturb baby.
WARNINGS
WARNING
• D o not place more than 4 feeding bottles and their
accessories in the steriliser.
• E nsure that the voltage of the steriliser (see voltage
rating on the plate located underneath the appliance)
corresponds to the mains' voltage.
• C onnect the appliance to a mains socket that is easily
accessible.
• W arning: For safety reasons, the appliance must always
be connected to an electrical installation provided with
a safe and efficient earth connection.
• B efore using the appliance, check that the product and
all of its components are not damaged. Should any
part be damaged, do not use the product and contact
a qualified technician or your retailer.
• T his appliance has been designed for domestic use
only.
• D o not use this appliance in any way or for any
purpose other than those described in the instructions
(disinfection of your baby's feeding bottles, soothers
and feeding accessories). Any other use is to be
considered inappropriate and therefore dangerous.
• T his equipment is not intended for use by people
(children included) with reduced physical or mental
capacities, or with insufficient experience or knowledge,
unless they are under the supervision of a person
responsible for their safety, or have been instructed
on how to use the equipment. Children should be kept
under adult supervision to ensure that they do not play
with the equipment.
• D o not insert objects into the steriliser if they are not
suitable for hot sterilisation.
• D o not place objects or components directly onto the
warming plate.
• D o not operate the appliance without fitting the
appropriate accessory rack to the steriliser.
• T he steriliser is only intended for use indoors. Do not
leave the equipment exposed to atmospheric agents
(rain, sun, etc.).
• � ever use the steriliser without water.
• T o carry out a sterilisation cycle, do not pour any other
liquids other than drinking water into the container.
• O nly place the appliance on flat, stable surfaces. Do
not place it directly on or near hot surfaces, onto gas
rings, warming plates, electric ovens, or onto delicate
surfaces or surfaces that may be sensitive to humidity
and/or heat.
• D uring use, the equipment becomes hot, and the water
boils and produces steam. For this reason take great
care.
• W hen the appliance is in use, the hole located on the
upper part of the lid releases steam. Caution! Do not
place your hands, arms, legs or face near the hole:
serious danger of burns!
• D o not obstruct the steam hole located on the upper
part of the lid.
• W hen the appliance is hot, always remove the lid with
the maximum care, as the steam released could cause
burns.
• I mmediately after the disinfection cycle, the objects
inside the appliance are very hot. Always handle with
the maximum care! Allow to cool or use the appropriate
tongs supplied to remove them.
• W arning� If, for any reason, the electricity supply is
interrupted even for a few seconds whilst the appliance
is in use, the steriliser stops both the disinfection cycle
underway and the automatic preset maintenance
cycles. In this case, the disinfection of the products in
the appliance might not be sufficient.
• D o not move the appliance when it is hot or connected
to the mains.
• T his appliance is not a toy. Keep out of reach of
children.
• D o not submerge the appliance in water. Should this
happen, do not use the product.
• D o not attempt to open or repair the steriliser. Should
the product be damaged, contact a qualified technician.
The appliance can be opened only with special tools.
• T he parts and components of this equipment cannot be
repaired by the user. If the appliance is damaged or not
operating correctly, do not open it� contact a qualified
technician.
• O nly use the power cable supplied with the appliance.
• I f you need to replace the power cable, contact one of
Artsana S.p.A.'s authorised retailers. Do not use power
cables not approved by the manufacturer: it could be
a source of danger. Contact a qualified technician to
replace the power cable's plug.
• A lways disconnect the plug from the mains socket
when the steriliser is not in use.
• D o not pull the power cable or the appliance to unplug
the appliance from the mains.
• E nsure that the plug is disconnected from the mains and
that the appliance is completely cold before carrying
out any cleaning or maintenance operations.
• D ispose of the appliance at an appropriate differentiated
collection point, as required by the regulations in
force.
