Audio settings

You can access the audio settings by pushing the button
61 "Audio Setup". The menus are shown on the display
panel so there is no need to turn on the TV set or projec-
tor.
LEVEL – Adjust the volume of the individual speakers.
HDMI AUDIO OUT – Activate/deactivate sound transmis-
sion at the HDMI output.
TESTTONE – Set the volume of the individual speakers
using a test tone.
LIPSYNC – Set the delay for sound output.
SURROUND – Set the surround sound.
TONE – Set the sound.
DISTANCE – Set the signal travelling times for the speakers.
Select the desired submenu with the navigation buttons
41 "▲" and 57 "▼" and push the select button 43 "Enter".
The device switches back to normal operation after six
seconds of button inactivity.

LEVEL

You can increase or decrease the relative volume for
each speaker here.
1.With the navigation buttons 41 "▲" and 57 "▼" select
the desired speaker:
C – Center
FL – Front left
FR – Front right
SW – Subwoofer
SL – Rear left
SR – Rear right
2.With the navigation buttons 58 "◀" and 42 "▶" set the
relative volume in the range from "–10" to "+10".
3.To fi nish, push the button 44 "Return".

HDMI AUDIO OUT

Switch the sound transmission at the HDMI output 25
"HDMI OUT" "ON" or "OFF". When playing movies you
do not have to mute the television in order to hear the
sound from the receiver speakers.

TESTTONE

Adjusting the volume with testtone. As described previ-
ously in the section "LEVEL", you can increase or de-
crease the relative volume for each speaker here. In the
process, however, audio playback is replaced with a test
tone (white noise). The test tone stops as soon as you quit
the submenu.

LIPSYNC

Digital image processing in the television set requires a
certain amount of time. To keep the picture and sound
synchronous, television sets delay the sound by a few
milliseconds. To ensure that the sound of your receiver is
also synchronous, you can set the audio delay of your
receiver between 0 and 120 ms here.
The current value in millseconds (ms) appears on the
display panel.
With the navigation buttons
can now set the audio delay between 0 and 120 ms.

SURROUND

Briefl y tipping the navigation buttons 58 "◀" and 42 "▶"
switches between the available modes:
"5.1 CH"
"DPLII"
"STEREO"

TONE

With the navigation buttons 41 "▲" and 57 "▼", select
the desired range for sound control:
Basslow tones (bass tones)
Treblehigh tones
With the navigation buttons 58 "◀" and 42 "▶" you can
now set the selected range from "–10" (decrease) to
"+10" (increase).

DISTANCE

Different distances between the speakers and the listen-
ing position may interfere with the perception of surround
sound. To compensate for these run time differences, set
the distances from the listening position to each speaker
from 0 to 400 cm here.
1. With the navigation buttons 41 " " and 57 " " select
the desired speaker:

FL – Front left
