Freezing fresh food

Please observe the following instructions to obtain the best results.
Do not freeze too large a quantity at any one time. The quality of the food is best
preserved when it is frozen right through to the centre as quickly as possible.
Do not exceed the freezing capacity of your appliance in 24 hrs see technical data at
the rear of this manual.
Do not Place warm food into the freezer compartment allow to cool to ambient
temperature.
It's advisable to adjust the thermostat control to the maximum to lower the inner
temperature 24 hrs before freezing fresh food in the appliance.
Insert the fresh food, and after 24 hrs all the fresh food should be frozen.
Turn the thermostat control back to the normal position after freezing is completed.
Never place food to be frozen in direct contact with food already stored.
It may be necessary to reduce the quantity to be frozen if freezing every day is
anticipated.

Making ice cubes

Fill the ice cube tray ¾ full of clean water and place the tray in the freezer and close
the door.
To remove the ice cubes from the tray run the tray under water for a shot time and
twist the tray slightly to loosen the ice cubes.

Defrosting

The surface of the evaporator ices up when the freezer is in use. When the frost layer
reaches a thickness of 4-6 mm the freezer must be defrosted and cleaned.
Otherwise it may result in lower efficiency and high energy consumption.
1. Tack out all food and ice tray wrap foods in several layers of newspaper and store
in a cold place. To speed up the defrost process, you may place a bowl of warm
water inside the freezer and keep the door open.
2. Turn the thermostat to the off position and unplug from the mains supply.
3. After all the ice as melted carefully empty the drip tray and then carefully wash
and dry all surfaces.
4. Reinsert the mains plug and set the thermostat to number 7 for two or three hours
before re- introducing your food then set the thermostat back to it's original
setting.
Don't- Use sharp edged objects such as knives or forks to remove any ice.
Don't- Use hairdryers, or electrical appliances for defrosting only use item
recommended by the manufacturer.
Never store effervescent drinks in the freezer.
