    5. Operating and Status LEDs The system displays power supply status and operating modes via LEDs. The opera- ting lights also light up during notebook activity: Operating Indicator This LED will shine if the system is switched on. Access Indicator This LED lights or flashes when the notebook is accessing the hard disk or the optical drive.

    6. Preparation for Starting-Up To operate your notebook safety and ensure a long service life, you should read the “Operational safety” chapter at the beginning of this manual. All operating software is already fully preinstalled on the notebook so there is no need for you to install any more drivers and you can get started right away.

    PLEASE NOTE! Data loss! The initial installation may take a few minutes. Do not unplug the notebook from the mains or switch it off during the initial installation.     7.2. Mains Power Your notebook comes with a universal mains adapter for alternating current which automatically adapts to the available power source.
