Repeat playback between specified two
points using the A-B button – A-B Repeat
1 While playing back the MD, mark the
repeat start point (A) by pressing A-B.
2 Press A-B at the repeat end point (B).
The repeat playback between A and B points
starts.
To stop A-B repeat
• Press A-B or REPEAT. A-B repeat will be canceled.
• Press
, the playback will stop. A-B repeat will be
canceled at the same time.

Finding the desired track using sampling
playback – Music Scan
Music Scan plays back the beginning of every track
only for eight seconds per track.
1 While the MD is playing back or stopped,
press M.SCAN.
The
indicator of the MD flashes in the display,
then Music Scan starts.
2 If you find the music you wish to play,
press M.SCAN or
The normal playback starts from the beginning of
the track.

MEMORY and RANDOM playback (See pages
3
26 and 27 for reference.)
Press RANDOM or MEMORY while the MD is
stopped. In MEMORY playback, you can also use
/
to select the tracks followed by ENTER to
confirm instead of using the number buttons.
To cancel RANDOM or MEMORY playback mode,
press CONTINUE while the MD is stopped.
Spacing tracks (Auto Space)
It is possible to play back the MD with a silent interval
of approximately 3 seconds between tracks.
Press A-SPACE.
The present setting will be displayed ("A.Space
On" or "A.Space Off").
When "A.Space On" is selected, the Auto Space
function will operate.
Press A-SPACE while the display is lit to switch
between On and Off.
