When the TOC indicator lights or flashes
Information such as track numbers will be recorded onto
the TOC (Table Of Contents) of the MD when you eject the
MD, turn off the unit, or stop recording.
Therefore, do not disconnect the AC power cord (mains
lead) or apply vibration to the unit under the following
conditions:
• When the TOC indicator lights,
The data to be recorded onto the TOC is preserved in the
unit memory.
• When the TOC indicator flashes,
The data is being recorded onto the MD.
This will prevent normal TOC writing.
Checking the CD/MD information while recording
1 Press CD/MD button to switch the information to CD or MD.
The CD/MD button operates as an information switcher.

The recording MD track number
2 Press DISPLAY repeatedly to change the display as follows:
When CD information is displayed
The elapsed time of the playing track
The remaining time of the playing track
The remaining time of the disc

If you had a power failure or disconnected the AC
power cord (mains lead) when the TOC indicator
was lit or flashing
The recorded contents in the unit memory will be erased
and will not be recorded onto the MD.
If "Retry Error" appears in the display
Eject the MD, then insert it again and retry recording.

When MD information is displayed
The elapsed time of the recording track
The remaining recordable time of the disc
The name of the recording track *
