Note: This device runs with an integrated (electrical) motor brake for your
convenience and safety. It ensures that the cutting unit immediately stops when the
switches are released.
13
For thick growth and fast results with the least amount of effort possible, we
recommend trimming your hedge regularly.

1. In order to activate the device, push the safety lock (13)
forward. This will release the main switch (7). Depress the main
switch (7). After you have pressed the main switch, you can
release the safety lock.
As soon as you release the main switch, the device deactivates
7
and the main switch is again blocked.
2. Move the device evenly over the hedge and back and forth along
its sides until you have shaped the hedge as desired.
3. To shorten any protruding branches, move the cutting head
from top to bottom until you have reached the desired length.
4. Occasionally shake the cuttings in the hose down into the col-
lection bag (1). Only in this way, is it possible to prevent cuttings
from blocking the hose.
5. After use, take the collecting hose (2) out of the ejection
opening and empty the collecting bag. To do so, open the zipper.
If necessary, remove any cuttings that have accumulated (see the
section "Removing accumulated Cuttings") and clean the cutting
head (see section "Cleaning and Storage").
6. Stow the device and accessories in the collecting bag (1) and
store it in a dry place that is not accessible to children.
