Work Area Safety

❐ Keep your work area clean and well lit.
❐ Keep pets away from the device.
❐ Do not use the electric tool in areas where there is a risk of explosion and where
fl ammable liquids, gases or dusts are present.
❐ Keep children and persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental abilities away
when using the electric tool.

Electrical Safety

❐ Keep electric tools away from rain or moisture. Do not cut any wet plants with the
device.
❐ Only connect the charger to a properly installed socket. The socket must also be
easily accessible after the device has been connected. The mains voltage must cor-
respond to the technical data of the device. The plug may not be modifi ed in any
way.
❐ Keep the charger's cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts of the
device. The cord may not be crushed or kinked.
Safety of Persons
❐ Be careful, pay attention to what you are doing and approach work with an electric
tool in a reasonable manner. Do not use an electric tool if you are tired or under
the infl uence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
❐ Do not work above eye level.
❐ Always wear personal protective gear and safety goggles.
❐ Wear ear protectors.
❐ Wear anti-slip, resistant work gloves that allow you to take fi rm hold of the han-
dles.
❐ Avoid accidentally activating the device. Ensure that the electric tool has been
deactivated before you connect it to the power supply and/or the storage battery
or before you pick it up or carry it.
❐ Avoid positioning your body in an abnormal manner. Maintain a stable stance and
maintain balance at all times.
❐ Wear suitable clothing: long trousers, long-sleeved shirt and fi rm footwear with
anti-slip soles. Do not wear baggy clothing, short clothing or jewellery. Keep hair,
clothing and gloves away from the moving parts.
❐ If suction and collecting fi xtures can be mounted, ensure that they have been con-
nected and are used properly.
❐ Keep all body parts away from the cutting blades. Do not attempt to remove cut-
tings or take hold of the material being cut when the blades are rotating. Only re-
move any cuttings that have stuck in the device after having deactivated the device.
❐ Carry the trimmer by the handle when the blade is idle.
❐ Wait until the electric tool has come to a stop before setting it down.
❐ Heavy protective clothing may lead to earlier onset of fatigue and a risk of heat
stroke. Take care of diffi cult work in the early morning or later in the evening
when the temperature is not too high.
