Various Settings

FUNCTIONS window

By using the FUNCTIONS window you may access the main
functions quickly and easily.
Preparation
≥Press [DVD].
[1]
While stopped
Press [FUNCTIONS].
≥Functions displayed depend on the type of disc.
Press [3, 4, 2, 1] to select an item and press
[2]
[ENTER].
∫ To exit the FUNCTIONS window
Press [FUNCTIONS].

Status displays

Preparation
≥Press [DVD].

∫ Changing the information displayed

Displays appear on the TV when operating the unit to show you what
operation was performed and what condition the unit is in.
Press [STATUS] to change the information
displayed.
The display changes each time you press the button.

Shows the selected audio type.

Stereo: a stereo broadcast is being received
M1/M2: a multiple audio broadcast is being received
M1: a NICAM monaural broadcast is being received

LR, L, R:
a stereo programme is recorded.

For your reference
≥These displays may not be shown if "On-Screen Messages" in the
"Display" menu is set to "Off" (l 45). If set to "Automatic", displays
(1), (2), (3) and (4) appear for 5 seconds and then disappear.
