You can use the following menu to select from the different types of
interval.
• {1-S}/{2-S}/{1-P}/{2-P} ... {1-Sample}/{2-Sample}/{1-Prop}/{2-Prop}

Z
1-Sample Interval calculates the confidence interval for an unknown population
mean when the population standard deviation is known.
The following is the confidence interval.
Left = o – Z α
2
Right = o + Z α
2
However, α is the level of significance. The value 100 (1 – α ) % is the confidence
level.
When the confidence level is 95%, for example, inputting 0.95 produces 1 – 0.95 =
0.05 = α .

The following shows the meaning of each item in the case of list data specifica-
tion.
Data ................ data type
C-Level ........... confidence level (0 < C-Level < 1)
σ ..................... population standard deviation ( σ > 0)
List .................. list whose contents you want to use as sample data
Freq ................ sample frequency
Execute .......... executes a calculation
The following shows the meaning of parameter data specification items that are
