8. Connect the cable of the new internal speaker to the internal speaker connector on the system board.

Replacing the M.2 storage drive

Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the Chapter
1 "Read this first: Important safety information" on page 1.
Note: The M.2 storage drive might come in two sizes, a smaller size as shown on the left side and a larger
size on the right side as shown in the figures in this section. Refer to the figure that matches your M.2
storage drive when reading this section. If your computer comes with the smaller M.2 storage drive, you will
not be able to replace it with a larger M.2 storage drive.
To replace the M.2 storage drive, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 87.
3. Remove the heat sink. See "Replacing the heat sink" on page 89.
4. Locate the M.2 storage drive. See "Computer components" on page 31.
5. Pull out the plastic fastener that secures the M.2 storage drive so that the M.2 storage drive pops up.
