5.5 CGI Interface

You can restrict camera settings changes using CGI interface from browsers,
external devices, or software applications. CGI interface is an interface that
controls the camera through commands without using the [Setup] pages.
1.
Click the [Setup] tab.
2.
On the left side of the screen under [Account], click [Administrator].
3.
Under [CGI interface], select the desired setting.
– [Allow setting changes]: Allows all camera settings to be changed from
browsers, external devices, or software applications and decreases
security.
– [Only disallow settings from browsers]: Only disallows camera setting
changes from browsers.
– [Do not allow setting changes]: Restricts camera setting changes from
browsers, external devices, or software applications and increases
security.
4.
Click [Save].
Note
• When using Network Camera Recorder software or Wireless Camera
Monitoring System, select [Allow setting changes] or [Only disallow
settings from browsers].
• Camera settings from mobile phones are not restricted.
• Select [Allow setting changes] to allow the camera to be controlled
from independent camera control menus used on websites linked to
the camera.
