Appendix D. Configuring LDK24 system for using external modem

LDK24 system provides two types of ADSL services. one is internal type, the other is external
type. Internal type is for providing to customer ADSL service using LG's internal modem.
External type is for providing to customer ADSL service using the other's company modem
through LAN Switch router port(4
Note - if you will try to use LDK24 system as the type of external, you must unplug ADSLU in
MPB .
In case of the type of external, WAN protocol supported through LAN Switch router port is as
follows.
• Ethernet – PPPoE routed
• Ethernet – Ethernet routed
D.1 Ethernet – PPPoE routed
The configuration of PPPoE in this section is similar to the PPPoE routing setup in 3.3.4Ethernet
–PPPoE routed. Before you setup this configuration If you want to change default LAN IP
address, refer to Annex C : Changing default LAN IP address.
You can set "PPPoE" by following instructions.
