Connections
Note
Do not connect the AC mains lead until all other connections are
complete.

Flat cables.
Keep the cables as flat as possible against the back of the
unit.

Front speakers.
To prepare the speaker cables, twist the vinyl tip and pull off
(a).
Connect the cables to the terminals of the same color.
HF: High Frequency
LF: Low Frequency
Note
¡To prevent damage to circuitry, never short-circuit positive
(+) and negative (–) speaker wires.
¡Be sure to connect only positive (red or gray) wires to
positive (+) terminals and negative (black or blue) wires to
negative (–) terminals.

Center/surround speakers and
subwoofer.
If center and surround speakers are included
The connection procedure is the same as for the front
speakers.
If you connect speakers purchased
separately
Refer to the speaker's operating instructions. You will need a
monaural connection cable to connect a subwoofer (b).
Caution
¡ ¡ Incorrect connection can damage the unit.
¡ ¡ Use the speakers only with the recommended system.
Failure to do so can damage the amplifier and speakers,
and can cause fire. Consult a qualified service person if
damage occurs or if a sudden change in performance is
apparent.
¡ ¡ Place the speakers on a stable surface such as the floor or
a sturdy shelf.

Notes on speaker use
Do not play distorted sounds over extended periods.
You can damage your speakers by playing sounds that include high
levels of noise. Reduce the volume in the following cases.
¡When turning the amplifier off.
¡When playing noise from FM broadcasts over extended periods.
