Digital output settings

Change these settings if you have connected this unit to another
piece of equipment through DIGITAL OPTICAL OUT.

¡Signals from DVDs without copyright protection may be
output as they are.

¡96-kHz and 48-kHz signals are output as 48-kHz/16-bit
signals when output is digital and 48-kHz signals when
output is analogue.
(This is for copyright protection.)
Caution for the digital optical output terminal:
Ensure Dolby Digital, DTS and MPEG are set to "PCM" or "Off" if
you connect this unit to a digital amplifier without a decoder. If the
signals are output as bitstream, "noise" will be output, which can
harm your ears and speakers.
