Problem
Battery fails to
charge.
Display looks
faded.
Calls cannot be
made.
Calls cannot be
received.
Cause
The battery
temperature
exceeds the
charging
temperature range
(too hot or too cold).
The Brightness
setting is
accidentally
changed.
The phone is
locked.
Outgoing calls are
barred.
Fixed dialling is
switched on so that
only the numbers
stored in Fixed
dialling can be
dialled.
The phone is not
registered with a
network.
The phone is not
switched on.
Incoming calls are
barred.
The phone is not
registered with a
network.
Troubleshooting
Remedy
Use the battery at room
temperature.
Check the Brightness setting
(see page 45).
If keypad is locked, [6] (Unlock)
7 [e].
If the phone is locked, enter the
lock code.
Disable outgoing call barring or
barred dialling.
Switch off the Fixed dialling.
Move to a coverage area and
operate your phone after it has
registered with a network.
Switch the phone on.
Disable incoming call barring.
Move to a coverage area and
operate your phone after it has
registered with a network.
