The QUICK LiPo 15 can be used to charge virtually all lithium polymer batteries used in model-building. Connect the charger's 100 ~ 240 VAC input to a mains wall socket or the charger's DC input to a car battery or power supply unit with a capacity of at least 10 A with 11 to 15 VDC. -

The charger and the battery to be charged must be placed on a non-combustible, heat- resistant and non-conducting surface during operation. Never place the device on a car seat, carpets or similar surfaces. Combustible or highly flammable objects are to be kept away from the charging area.

INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY Attention! As a basic rule, always check that the charge level is approximately as expected after the charger has indicated that the battery is fully charged. This is a simple method of detecting a problem reliably and in good time should the charging process be terminated incorrectly for any reason. - Page 8 Attention! Do not solder directly onto the batteries – the temperatures which occur during soldering can damage the seals and safety valves of the cells. This would cause the battery to lose electrolyte or dry out, and some of its performance would be lost. Attention! Overcharging damages battery capacity.

INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY General operating notices Charging batteries When a battery is charged, a specific amount of electrical energy is supplied to the battery. This amount is calculated by multiplying the charging current by the charging time. The maximum permissible charging current depends on the battery type and can be found in the information provided by the battery manufacturer. -

Notice! The transmitter must be switched to "OFF" during the entire charging process. Notice! Never switch on a remote-control transmitter while it is connected to the charger. Notice! Do not discharge the battery or carry out battery maintenance programmes via the charging socket. -

Connecting the battery WARNING: Only 1 to 3S LiPo or LiMn batteries may be charged with the ULTRA Quick LiPo 15. Never user it to charge any other types of battery – fire and explosion hazard! Batteries with integrated charging mechanisms must not be connected. -

The charger beeps twice and the status LED flashes green approx. every four seconds. The QUICK LiPo 15 is ready for operation. Connect the battery to start the charging process. The slide switch can be used to alter the charging current. -

Charging process for LiPo batteries Starting the charging process: Use the slide switch to select the required charging current and connect the battery to the balancer connection and charger connection cable or Tx/Rx socket. The charger will beep briefly and the charging process will then start. -
