Trouble
Scanner does not turn
on.
Scanner Error 49 is
displayed on LCD when
powered on.
Scanning operation can-
not be performed.
Scanned image is dirty.

or partially colored.

Possible Cause
AC cord is not
connected.
Scanner is locked.
SCSI cable is not
properly connected.
SCSI ID No. is not set
correctly.
SCSI-2 board is not
compatible.
Software may not be
installed.
Original document is dirty.
Scanner glass is dirty.
Document is not
positioned correctly.
Document is not evenly
set on the scanner glass.
You may not be using the
software utility correctly.
Condensation has
occurred.
Document thickness is
out of specifications.
Too many documents are
inserted in the ADF tray.
Corrective Action
Connect the AC cord.
Unlock the scanner

Connect the SCSI cable

Set the SCSI ID No.
