Bagging the Clippings

Use the grass bag when you want to collect grass and leaf
clippings from the lawn.
If the side discharge chute is on the mower, remove it and
lock the side discharge door (refer to Removing the Side
Discharge Chute) before bagging the clippings.
A worn grass bag could allow small stones and
other similar debris to be thrown in the operator's or
bystander's direction and result in serious personal
injury or death to the operator or bystanders.
Check the grass bag frequently. If it is damaged,
install a new Lawn-Boy replacement bag.
The blade is sharp; contacting the blade can result
in serious personal injury.
Stop the engine and wait for all moving parts to stop
before leaving the operating position.

Installing the Grass Bag

when you pull the recoil start handle.
3. Insert the grass bag handle into the grooves at the top
of the mower (Figure 33).
Important: The mower has a safety switch that
prevents you from starting the mower unless you
first install the grass bag securely on the mower.
