If dryer does not
operate properly...
Dryer pulley
conversion
If dryer will not operate,
check
the following
to be sure that:
A. Electrical
supply is connected.
B. House fuse is intact
and tight or circuit
breaker
has not tripped.
C. Door is closed.
D. Controls
are set in a running
or "On"
position.
E. Start button
has been pushed
firmly.
Floor Damage
Slide dryer onto cardboard
or hardboard
betore movlng across tloor.
Failure to do so may cause damage to
tloor coverlng.
When moving your dryer...
l
Shut off electric
supply to dryer.
l
Disconnect
power
supply cord and tape
securely
to dryer.
l
Tape the drum to the front panel.
l
Tape the dryer door and lint screen.
l
Screw leveling
legs all the way in.
Before having
your electric
dryer installed
in
your new home, check
with a licensed
electrician
to confirm
that the supply
voltage
matches
the voltage
specified
on
the serial/rating
plate.

This dryer is equipped
with a special
motor
drive pulley having
two belt positions
This dryer is shipped
from the factory
with the
belt in the 50-Hz position
on the motor drive
pulley. (Belt is in the groove
nearest
the
motor - the larger diameter
position).
It is
necessary
to reposition
the belt when
changing
to a power
supply having
a
frequency
of 60 Hz because
the motor
speed
is affected
by the frequency
of the
power
supply.
3. To change belt tram 50-Hz posltlon to
60-Hz posltlon:
Gently
pull belt toward
you and turn drum
counterclockwise
one tull turn
until belt
moves to the front pulley groove
(groove
nearest
to you). Release
belt and close toe
panel.

Using a putty knife, press down on the two
toe panel
clips located
at the top left and
right of the toe panel.
Pull outward
on the
toe panel to open. The toe panel
is hinged
at the bottom.

2. Check
dryer belt location.
If your power
supply frequency
is 50-Hz, the belt should be
in the groove
nearest
the motor. If the
frequency
is 60-Hz. the belt should be in the
small-diameter
groove.
NOTE:
Always
push drum y
counterclockwise.

3. To change belt tram 60-Hz posltlon to
50-Hz posltlon:
Gently
push belt away
from you while
turning
drum counterclockwise
one tull turn
until belt moves to the rear pulley groove
(groove
nearest
motor).
Release belt and
close toe panel.
