Installing the Air Cleaner on
Kawasaki Engines
Parts needed for this step:
1 Air cleaner
1 Hose Clamp
4 Screws
1 Front engine cover
Procedure
Note: If the machine you are setting up does not
have a Kawasaki engine, skip this procedure.
1. Remove the air cleaner from the crate, keeping
the bracket together with the air cleaner.
2. Remove the plug from the air intake on the
engine.

3. Remove the hose from the air cleaner and
install it onto the air intake on the engine. This
will make it easier to install the hose when the
air cleaner is installed to the engine (Figure 20
and Figure 22).

4. Remove the 2 bolts from the back of the
engine (Figure 21).
5. Remove the 2 long bolts that run through the
carburetor (Figure 21).

6. Install the hose into the air cleaner base
(Figure 22).
