9. Reinstall the screw caps.
10. Turn the computer over again. Connect the ac power adapter and all cables to the computer.
Replacing the keyboard
Before you start, print these instructions. Read the important safety information first. See "Important
safety information" on page vi.
To remove the keyboard, do the following:
Note: You might be instructed to slide the keyboard frame forward or backward in some of the following
steps. In this case, ensure that you do not press and hold the keys while sliding the keyboard frame.
Otherwise, the keyboard frame cannot be moved.
1. Turn off the computer and disconnect the ac power adapter and all cables from the computer.
2. Find the keyboard multi-tool in the shipping package of the new keyboard. The following illustration
shows a keyboard multi-tool.
