(3) Press the stop lever and slide the nail feeder forward until
it contacts the nail strip.

O USe nail strip at least 5 nails remaining.

O Set heads of nails overlapped as shown in the below
figure.
O Ensure that the head of tail nai[ is set under the nail
stopper of nail feeder.

NAILER OPERATION
Read section titled "SAFETY"(pages 4 - 6).
O Always wear eye protector which conforms to ANSl
Z87. I specifications.
e Never point Nailer toward yourself or anyone else.
O Never carry with finger on trigger.
Remove finger from trigger when not driving nails.
O Never place your hands or feet closer than 8 inches
(200 mm) from firing head when using.
O Do not drive nails on top of other nails or with
Nailer at too steep of an angle; nails can ricochet
and hurt someone.
O En order to avoid double fire or unwanted ejection
of a naii due to bouncing of the Nailer.
1) do not push Nailer on workpiece with strong
fo ree ;
2) take Naiier away from workpiece using recoil;
3) release trigger quickly when performing trigger
fire.
O Do not drive nails into thin boards or near corners
and edges of workpiece. Naile can be driven
through or away from workpiece and hit someone.
O Never drive nails from both sides of a walt at the
same time. Nails can be driven into and through the
waN and hit a person on the opposite side.
O Never use Naiter which is defective or operating
abnormally.
O Do not use Nailer as hammer.
O Disconnect air hose from Nailer when:
1) it is not in use;
2) Ieaving work area;
3) moving it to another location; and
4) handing it to another person.
This Hitachi nailer has a STANDARD CONTACT TRIP
MECHANISM (Bounce Fire). An OPTIONAL SEQUENTIAL
TRIP MECHANISM kit (SINGLE SHOT) is available as order
part number 876762.
