Troubleshooting

The vehicle contains a computer that monitors the state of
the vehicle electrical systems. This computer
communicates the status of the vehicle to you through the
Status Light Flash Pattern
Always on
1 flash
2 flashes
3 flashes
4 flashes
5 flashes
6 flashes
7 flashes
8 flashes
9 flashes
Off
vehicle status light. When the vehicle is functioning
properly, the light will be on. When there is a problem, the
light flashes. The number of flashes changes depending on
the problem. The following table lists the various flash
patterns, the cause, and the steps you can take to resolve the
problem.
Cause
The system is functioning properly.
The computer programming
personality is out of range.
The accelerator pedal was
pressed when the On/Off key was
turned.
The power block has a short circuit
(MOSFET S/C).
A poor batter or power cable
connection.
The line contactor is not
responding to commands.
The charger interlock switch is
active.
Accelerator POT is out of
adjustment.
Battery voltage is out of range.
The controller is overheated.
The motor is over heated or the
battery is nearly discharged (the
vehicle will go into the energy
saving mode).
The controller has failed.

Corrective Action
None
Turn the On/Off key to the Off
position, wait a few seconds, and
turn the On/Off key to the On
position. If the condition continues,
refer to your Authorized Service
Dealer.
Turn the On/Off key to the Off
position, release the accelerator
pedal, and turn the On/Off key to
the On position.
Turn the On/Off key to the Off
position, wait a few seconds, and
turn the On/Off key to the On
position. Check all batteries and

meter displays only one bar,
charge the vehicle immediately.
