Speaker Setup
Setting the Distance From the Listening Position to Each Speaker
Before starting the procedure below, measure the distances from each speaker to the
listening position.
For pair speakers such as front left and right speakers, the distance from the listening
position to one speaker should be the same as the distance to the other.
In the procedure below, select the values which approximate the actual distances.

If you selected a speaker configuration with no
center speaker on the page 18 or 19, this step
will be skipped.
Press DISTANCE, then press
DOWN/UP
on the unit or UP

repeatedly to select the surround
left and right speaker distance.
You cannot enter the following distances:
• Distances longer than the distance set
for the front speakers.
• Distances shorter than the distance
obtained by subtracting "4.5 m (15 ft.)"
from the distance entered for the front
speakers.
Note
If you selected a speaker configuration with no
surround speakers on page 18 or 19, this step
will be skipped.
Press DISTANCE.
The normal display resumes.
