Daily Maintenance Checklist

Check safety interlock operation.
Check that the grass deflector is in the down
position.
Check brake operation.
Check the engine oil level.
Check the cooling system fluid level.
Drain the water/fuel separator.
Check the air cleaner.
Check the radiator and screen for debris.
Check unusual engine noises.
Check the transmission oil level.
Check the hydraulic hoses for damage.
Check for fluid leaks.
Check the tire pressure.
Check instrument operation.
Check blade condition.
Lubricate all grease fittings.
Touch up damaged paint.

Check the glow plug and injector nozzles if hard starting,
excess smoke, or rough running is noted.

Immediately after every washing, regardless of the interval
listed.

Lubricating the Machine

The traction unit must be lubricated regularly. If the
machine is operated under normal conditions,
lubricate all bearings and bushings after every 50
hours of operation or whenever water is used to clean
the machine.

The traction unit bearings and bushings that must
be lubricated are: power take off shaft and yokes
(Fig. 14); lift arm pivots (Fig. 14); right and left
push arm ball joints (Fig. 14); push arm pivot
bushings (Fig. 15); power take off pivot housing
blocks (Fig. 16); brake pivot bushings (Fig. 17);
rear wheel spindle bushings (Fig. 18); steering

plate bushings (Fig. 18); axle pin bushing (Fig.
18) and engine output shaft bearing (Fig. 19).
Also apply grease to both brake cables at the
drive wheel and brake pedal ends.
