The appliance indicates processes and messages
on display 3.
Meaning
No water.
Note: There is always a small amount of water left in the water
tank 22.
Water tank 22 is missing or
not inserted correctly.
No coffee beans.
Note: The ADD BEANS display is lit until coffee is brewed
again.
Water pipe system in
the appliance is empty.
System heated up by
Steam on.
Drawer 24 and drawer for
coffee dregs 23 are full or
contacts 26 are dirty.
Tray 24 and coffee dregs
tray 23 are missing.
The illuminated ring on the
+ button 8 is lit red.
The illuminated ring on the
4 9 descaling button is
lit red.
The filter 27 is no longer
effective after 50 litres or
after approx. 2 months.
Remedial action
Pour fresh, cold water into
the water tank 22.
Insert water tank 22.
Add coffee beans to the bean
container 15.
Place an appropriate cup under
the froth nozzle 13.
Press the 0 2a button.
(possibly several times).
Allow system to cool down by
letting out some hot water 0.
Remove tray 24 and coffee
dregs tray 23, empty and
re insert. Clean and dry
contacts 26.
Insert the tray 24 and the tray for
coffee dregs 23 until they click
into place.
Run the cleaning programme
see Cleaning" chapter.
Run descaling programme
Descaling" chapter.
Change filter 27 (order no.
46 1732) or continue operating
the appliance without filter 27.
