Operator's Manual
Read and understand all instruction, warning and danger labels on the unit.

Place the shield onto the
mount bracket. Securely screw the
2 shield screws through the holes on
the mount bracket and into the
shield. Make sure the screws are
tightened equally so there is a
balanced gap between the bracket
and the shield on each side.

Check the oil level and fill
the fuel tank with fresh fuel.

Pull the starter rope in a
controlled motion until
the unit starts.

Insert each end of the
replacement line into the
holes on either side of
retention hook.

Remove the cap from the Loosen the screws and adjust the
boom. Push the bottom add-on J-handle in or out until the arrow/white line
into the coupler. Turn the knob on the decal touches the clamp assembly.

provides the best grip and tighten the
clamp screws evenly until tight.

Press the primer bulb 10
times, or until fuel is visible.

Wait
60 seconds.
Then squeeze the throttle for an
additional 30 to 60 seconds to
let the engine warm up. The unit
may be used during this time.

Push the ends through
until they stick out of the
sides of the head.

Tip unit so that the back of the engine
is facing up in a vertical position.
Remove the oil fill plug from the
crankcase and pour the entire bottle
of 4-cycle oil into the oil fill hole.
NOTE: Do not mix gas and oil

Crouch in the DO NOT squeeze the
starting position. throttle control.
DIDN'T START?
Repeat the starting instructions.
IF the unit still fails to start,
refer to the operator's manual
for additional starting and
troubleshooting information.
NOTE: If the unit is hot and fails
to start within 3 pulls of the rope,
squeeze the throttle control and
pull the rope until the unit starts.

Pull the ends through making
sure that the ends are of
equal length and the middle
of the line is centered
between the insertion holes.

Push the trimmer line
until it lies flat against the
cutting head. Make sure
the two lengths of cutting
line are of equal length.
