You can create a new route with a route in the system. However, the system only maintains one route at a time so the current route will be overwritten (automatically
deleted).

page 122 to create a route to a destination.
page 123 to review your route and add (or delete) one or more locations (vias) en route to your destination.

page 121 to suspend your current route guidance for an intentional "detour."
