2. Initializing
a
disk
Floppy
disks arc
very
delicate.
If
a
disk
is
damaged,
the
data
cannot
be
loaded.
To
avoid
this,
you must
make
a
backup
of
the
system
disk
(=save
the
system
program
on
the
system
disk
onto another
disk).
The
backup
disk
you have
made
can
store
song
data,
but
to
save
a
large
amount
of
song
data,
you
may
need
to
prepare another
disk
for
saving data
only.
Making
a
backup
disk or disk
for
data saving
is
called
initialization.

Initialization will
erase any
existing
data
on
tlie
disk.
Before
initializing
the
disk that
has
been used

equimpent, check
if
you

to retain
it
or
not.
