To perform a factory reset on a Roland MKS-80 after changing the battery:
1. Set the MIDI Function Switch to the III position. 2. Set the Protect Switch to the OFF position. 3. Press the Load Button. The display will show a message. 4. If loading all data, proceed to step 6. If selecting banks, while holding the Load Button, press the Bank Button to choose banks. 5. While still holding the Load Button, press the Write/Execute Button. The display will update, and loading will complete in about a second. 6. Set the Protect Switch back to the ON position. 7. Set the MIDI Function Switch to I or II unless otherwise needed.
This process loads factory data and resets the internal memory.
