• Since a slow shutter speed is automatically selected in low light situations when
in the flash off mode, the use of a tripod is recommended to prevent your
pictures from being blurred by camera movement.

Press the # button repeatedly to
set the flash mode.

• After 2 seconds of non-operation, the
selection is set and the mode selection
screen disappears.
• Each time you press # (flash mode),
the flash mode changes in the following
order.
AUTO
(Auto-flash)

(Flash off)
• In S mode and M mode, the flash mode changes in the following order.
#(Fill-in flash)

Press the shutter button halfway.
• In conditions where the flash will fire, the
# mark lights (flash stand-by).
