Using the AC Adapter (Option)

The separately sold Olympus adapter allows you to power the camera from a typical AC 120V wall outlet.

Loading the Lithium Battery
The Camedia C-2500L takes one 3V lithium battery (CR2025).

Stick a coin or a ball-point pen into the round hole to pull out
the lithium battery compartment holder.

Load the lithium battery with the + side facing upward and
insert the holder.
NOTE
• Be sure to insert a lithium coin battery; otherwise, the internal calen-
dar system will be reset when the main batteries are replaced. See P.
74 about how to adjust the calendar-system.

Check that the power to the camera is OFF, and then plug the
adapter's cord into an electrical outlet.

Connect the connector plug to the camera's DC input connector.
NOTE
Electrical outlet
• When in use for long periods, the AC adapter may get warm. This is normal.
Warning:Fire, Electric shock, Burns
Use the exclusive AC adapter correctly and pay attention to the pre-
cautions below. Incorrect use of the AC adapter may cause a fire,
electric shock or burns.
• Use only the exclusive AC adapter (optional). Olympus will not be
responsible for damage caused by the use of any AC adapter other
than the one exclusively designed for this camera.
Power plug
• Use an AC 120V power source.
• Make sure the power plug is properly plugged into the outlet.
• Do not connect or disconnect the power plug with wet hands.
• If the AC adapter's cord is hot, smells like smoke, or is emitting
smoke, unplug it immediately. Contact your nearest Olympus deal-
er or Olympus Service Centre.
• When disconnecting/connecting the AC adapter's cord, make sure
the camera is turned off.
• First, plug the power plug into an electrical outlet, and then con-
nect connector plug to the camera and turn the camera ON. After
turning the camera OFF, disconnect it from the camera, and then

unplug it from the outlet.
• Hold the AC adapter unit when removing it from an outlet.
• Never pull forcibly, bend, or twist the AC adapter.
• If there are any scratches or other damage on the AC adapter or if there
is contact failure on the plug, consult your nearest Olympus service
center as soon as possible.
• When you are not using the AC adapter, be sure to unplug the
power plug.
