PROBLEMS

IF IMAGE QUALITY IS POOR

When the image is too bright
Cause
The flash mode is set to
the Fill in mode.
The subject was too
brightly illuminated.
When the image is too dark
Cause
You blocked the flash with
your finger, etc.
The subject was out of
reach of the flash.
You shot a dark subject
against backlight.
When the colors in an image shot indoors are abnormal
Cause
The picture is affected by
the color temperature of
artificial lighting.
The subject does not
contain any white.
The white balance is set
improperly.

Remedy
Set the flash mode to Auto or
Flash Off.
Correct the exposure or shoot the
subject from a different angle or
point the camera in a different
direction and lock the exposure.
Remedy
Hold the camera correctly, taking
care not to cover the flash
surface.
Shoot the subject from a distance
of less than 3.5 m/11.5 ft.
Set the flash mode to the Fill in
mode.
Remedy
Set the flash mode to the Fill in
mode.
Shoot the subject with something
white in the field of view or set
the white balance according to
the current lighting conditions.
Adjust the white balance to suit
the lighting conditions and
confirm with the monitor.
