• This device is not designed to be used by persons (including children) with
limited physical, sensory or mental abilities, or by persons with insufficient
experience and/or knowledge, unless under observation by a person respon-
sible for their safety, or unless instructed in the use of the device.
• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
• In case of a malfunction, do not try to repair the device yourself. Not only
does the warranty expire, but serious danger can result (fire, electric shock,
injuries). Only authorised service offices should carry out a repair.
Informations about the electrodes
• For hygiene reasons, ensure that each user uses his or her own electrode
pads.
• Only use self-adhesive electrode pads that stick properly.
• Only position the self-adhesive electrode pads on the places described in
this instruction manual.
• Do not place the electrode pads on the body if it is wet.
• Only use the unit on clean, dry skin.
• Before coming into contact with water, remove the electrode pads.
• Do not attach the electrode pads at the front of the neck, the area around the
heart, or in the genital area.
• You may not attach the electrode pads on fresh scars, injured or swollen skin,
close to thromboses or other vessel problems (e.g. varicose veins).
• Avoid contact with pointed or sharp items.
• Make sure that the two self-adhesive electrodes do not come into contact.
This could lead to short-circuiting of the device.
• Do not use damaged or defect leads to the electrode; there is danger of elec-
tric shock.
• Do not expose the electrode pads to direct sunlight.
• It is normal for the skin to be slightly reddened after application; the redness
will disappear within a few hours. Do not use the unit again until the red-
dening has disappeared.
• Select shorter treatment times if skin irritations occur over a longer period of
treatment.
• In case of more severe skin irritation, stop the treatment and consult a
physician.
• Remove the remains of adhesives from the skin with soap and water. Do not
use alcohol or solvents.
