ThinkPad X1 Tablet Productivity Module

Depending on the model, your tablet might come with a ThinkPad X1 Tablet Productivity Module (referred
to as Productivity Module). Attach the Productivity Module to your tablet to expand working capability
by adding additional connectors and battery life.

Before attaching the Productivity Module to your tablet, remove the Base Module first. See "Removing or
replacing the Base Module" on page 18.

USB 3.0 connector
The USB 3.0 connector is used for connecting
USB-compatible devices, such as a USB keyboard,
a USB mouse, or a USB storage device.
Lock levers
The lock levers lock the Productivity Module to your
tablet tightly.
HDMI connector
High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)
connector is a digital audio and video interface that
can connect a compatible digital audio device or
video monitor, such as a DVD player or an HDTV.
OneLink+ connector
Use the OneLink+ connector to connect to the
ThinkPad OneLink+ Dock or the OneLink+ Ethernet
Adapter. You can purchase these devices from
