Active safety

In the new E-Class, high levels of active safety are
provided by both tried-and-tested and newly devel-
oped systems and components.
Driving safety is provided by:
• Larger track width
• Three-link front axle with suspension strut
• Five-link rear axle
• New steel suspension with selective damping
• AIRMATIC air suspension (special equipment)
• DISTRONIC PLUS including PRE-SAFE
(special equipment)
• ADAPTIVE BRAKE with the added functions: HOLD

• ASR / ESP dynamic handling control systems
