Follow the instructions on-screen. It is also possible to start a descaling cycle via the
maintenance menu.
To carry out a descaling cycle, you will need a container that can hold at least 20.3 oz., which
must be placed under the steam nozzle and you will need a packet of KRUPS descaling agent
(one bag).
The automatic descaling cycle is divided in three stages includes three phases: one descaling
cycle and two rinsing cycles. The program lasts approximately 20 min.
Important : if there is a power cutage or you disconnect your appliance, the cycle will resume
!
at the stage in progress when the incident occurred; this operation cannot be
delayed. Make sure the entire cycle is completed to remove any traces of
descaling product that may be hazardous to your health.

PROBLEMS AND CORRECTIVE MEASURES

MALFUNCTION
The appliance indicates a
fault, the software is frozen
or your appliance is mal-
functioning.
The appliance does not
come on after pressing the

clogged
The steam nozzle does not

CORRECTIVE MEASURES
Switch off and unplug the appliance, remove the filter cartridge,
wait for one minute and start the appliance again.
Check the fuses and wall socket.
Check that the 2 lead connectors are correctly plugged into the
appliance and into the wall socket.
Foreign bodies are present in the grinder.
Disconnect the appliance before any intervention.
Check whether you can extract the foreign body using the suc-
tion from your vacuum cleaner.
Check that the steam nozzle is correctly positioned on its corres-
ponding end piece.
Unclog the holes with the needle supplied with your appliance. If
the problem persists, dismantle the nozzle and the steam end
piece.

When the end piece has been taken off, use hot water to remove
the rest of the residue and make sure that the hole is not obstruc-
ted by any milk or calcium residue.
For preparations made with milk:
We recommend using very fresh, very cold pasteurised milk, and
we also recommend using a cold container.
