Troubleshooting

Cause
No voltage present at the
control unit
Oil tank empty / Gas supply
line shut off
Burner fault
Safety temperature
Oil filter clogged
System in summer mode
Heating circuit pump locked
up
Heating circuit pump faulty
DHW cylinder thermostat
faulty
Cylinder loading pump seized
up
Cylinder loading pump faulty
Adjust maximum boiler tem-
perature set too low.
Heating water temperature
too low
(check at DHW cylinder flow,
not at the boiler)
Too little heating water
(creates wider spread, i.e. return
temperature too low)
Indirect coil not vented
Indirect coil scaled up
Thermostat switches OFF too
soon
Return temperature too low
(e.g. spread too wide)
Remedy
Fuse, electrical connections,
Check the position of the ON/
OFF switch and heating sys.
emergency stop switch.
Fill oil tank /
Open gas supply line.
Press the reset button at
burner control unit
(see burner installation
instructions)
Press the reset button at the
control cut-out activated unit.
Replace oil filter.
Check summer/winter switch
position.
Turn the pump shaft with a
screwdriver.
Replace the heating circuit
pump.
Check DHW cylinder thermo-
stat and replace, if necessary.
Turn the pump shaft with a
screwdriver.
Replace the DHW loading
pump.
Raise maximum boiler tem-
perature.
Raise the temperature
(adjust thermostat)
Install larger DHW cylinder
loading pump
Vent indirect coil with loading
pump OFF
Descale indirect coil
Adjust thermostat
Return temperature too low
(e.g. spread too wide)
