With au Media Tuner, you can switch between EZ Television (1Seg), Digital Radio, and EZ
Channel-Plus simply by pressing
EZ Television (1Seg)
■ EZ Television (1Seg)
There are two types of digital TV broadcasting: the terrestrial digital television
programs you view on your home television and the 1Seg, which is the name of a
broadcasting service for cellphones. EZ Television (1Seg) lets you view 1Seg
broadcasts.
Terrestrial digital television is broadcast using the same UHF band radio waves as
terrestrial analog broadcasts.
■ Digital Radio
The terrestrial digital audio broadcasts of Digital Radio provide CD-quality radio
signals for your listening enjoyment. Currently available terrestrial digital audio
broadcasts are in the experimental stage.
■ EZ Channel-Plus
You can use au Media Tuner to play back programs registered with EZ Channel-Plus/
EZ Channel.
■ Using the TV antenna
When viewing with EZ Television (1Seg), be sure to extend the TV antenna in order to
ensure proper reception.
※ When retracting the antenna back into the phone, be sure to make sure the antenna is
straight and oriented in the correct direction. Failure to do so can result in damage to the
antenna.
