You can set up mail filters to block specific
mail or mail identified as "未承諾広告※"
(unsolicited advertisement), which often
includes spam.

A "One-ring Call" (wan-giri in Japanese)
rings your phone only once, in an attempt
to make you call back to a service that
automatically bills you very high charges.
