CLEAN!NG METHODS
After tong periods of use, dust and other partictes wit! accumulate on the LCD panei, prism, mirror, poiarized gfass,
tens. etc., causing the picture to danten or co!or to biur. !f this occurs. c)ean the instde of optical unit.
Remove dust and other parties using air spray, if dirt cannot be removed by air spray, disassemble and c)ean
the optical unit.
Cleaning with air spray
Ciean up the LCD panei and polarizing plate by using
the air spray from the cabinet top opening.
Cautfon:
Use a commercial (inert gas) air spray designed tor
cleaning camera and computer equipment. Use a resin-
based nozzte onty. Be vary carefut rtot to damage opti-
ca) par^ with the nozz!e ttp. Nevef use any Mnd of
cteanser on the unrt. A!sc', never use abrasive material
on the unit as this may cause irreparabte damage.

Dtsassembiy cieaning method shoufd onty be per-
formed when the unit !s considerate dirty and cannot
be sufficiency cteaned by air spraying atone.

1. Remove the cabinet top and main unit.
2. Remove integrator tons unit and reiay fens unit, and
then the optical base top fo!)ow)ng step 2 of "Optica!
UnM Disassembles". )f the LCD pane) needs ctean-
ing, remove the LCD panei unit fo)[owing to "LCD
pane) reptacemenf.
3. Clean the optical parts with a soft ctoth. Ctean
extremefy dirty areas using a ctoth moistened with
atcohoi.
Caution:
The surface of the optical components consists of mui-
tipte d^fectric iayers with varying degrees of refraction.
Never use organic solvents (thinner, etc.) or any kind of
cieanser on these compononts-
Since the LCD pane) is equipped wrth an e)ectron!c cir-
cu)t. never use any liquids (water, etc.) to ctean the unit.
Use of itqu)d may cause the unit to malfunction.
