Maintenance Overview The NAS-4100 requires no routine service. Cleaning Caution: DO NOT immerse NAS-4100 in liquid or use caustic or abrasive cleaners. To clean NAS-4100, dampen a soft cloth with any commercial nonabrasive cleaner available in the market and wipe clean. Before cleaning, make sure that the system is turned off.
Who Should Perform Repairs Only qualified service personnel should remove and replace any components of NAS-4100. Repairs to the NAS-4100 are limited to the repair level identified in the following paragraph. Repair Level Supported The NAS-4100 has the following replaceable components:...

Use the troubleshooting guide provided in this chapter to isolate failure to the main board, the LCD module, the power supply, the case fan, or the hard disks.

Press on both sides of the front panel where the red arrow indicated to unlock the side latches so as open the front panel in a downward manner.

Hard Drive Installation Procedure Overview The NAS-4100 has four hot-swap drive bays, and can install up to four 3.5” IDE hard disk drives. To make the system ready for access, install the hard drives to the NAS-4100. Then refer to the chapter 9, “Factory Default Setup”, for steps to configure the installed hard drives into one disk volume.
