C.
Level dryer
Dryer must be level to reduce noise
and assure proper performance.
Slide dryer onto cardboard or
hardboard before moving across floor
to prevent floor damage.
1.
Move dryer close to its permanent
location. Leave enough room to
connect exhaust vent.
Remove cardboard or hardboard from
under dryer.
2.
Check levelness of dryer by
placing a level on top of dryer, first
side to side, then front to back.
If dryer is not level, adjust dryer legs
up or down.
If legs are not long enough to level
dryer, order Extended Dryer Feet Kit,
Part No. 2798I0 (sold two legs per kit),
from your dealer.
D.
Make gas connection
red cap
1.
Remove the red cap from the gas
pipe (You may need to use pliers).
2.
Fit ISO.228-1 thread conversion
adapter. Use pipe-joint compound
resistant to the action of L.P gas for
gas connections.
3.
Connect gas supply to dryer.
manual shutoff valve
"open" position
to dryer
rigid gas supply line
4.
Turn the shut-off valve in the gas
supply line to the "open" position.
5.
Check for gas leaks. If a leak
appears, shut off gas valve control and
re-make connections. Then check for
gas leaks again.
E.
Exhaust dryer
10.2 cm (4")
clamp
1.
Connect vent
to dryer outlet using
100 mm (4") clamp. If
connecting to existing vent,
make sure the vent is clean.
The vent must fit over the dryer outlet and
inside the exhaust hood.
2.
Move dryer into final position. Do not
crush or kink exhaust vent. Make sure
dryer is level. Keep a minimum distance
of 10 cm (4 inches) between the rear of
the dryer and any wall.
F.
Check operation
1.
Check that you:
did not skip any steps.
installed all parts.
properly installed dryer legs.
levelled dryer.
have secured all exhaust vent joints
with 100 mm (4") clamps.
have all the tools you started with..
2.
Plug electricity supply cord into
an earthed socket outlet. Turn power
supply on.
3.
Read the Use and Care Guide to
fully understand your new dryer. Select a
full heat cycle (not the air cycle) and
start dryer. After five minutes, open dryer
door. You should feel heat inside dryer or
on the exhaust duct.
If the burner did not ignite and you do not
feel heat inside the dryer, shut the dryer
off for 5 minutes. Then check that:
controls are set in a running or 'On'
position.
start button has been pushed firmly.
gas supply line shut-off valve is open.
Repeat 5-minute test. If dryer still does not
operate properly check the following:
electricity supply is connected.
supply fuse is intact and tight; or
circuit breaker has not tripped.
dryer door is closed.
To visually check gas ignition and
correct operation of the burner (mostly
blue flame) remove the lower front panel
(trained installer only) to view the burner.
To check the gas manifold pressure
(trained installer only), attach a pressure
guage to the auxilliary pressure tap on
10.2 cm (4")
the front of the gas valve. If the manifold
clamp
pressure is not in accordance with the
Technical Specification, check the gas
supply pressure during operation. If the
supply pressure is correct, the valve
must be replaced, since it is factory set.
It has a seal to identify unauthorized
adjustment.
WARNING – Replace lower front panel
immediately after these checks.
If dryer makes an unusual noise, check
that dryer is level.
