The navigation screen

The navigation screen displays your current position on
the map display. Any change in position is adjusted.
The calculated route is shown with a blue background
so that you can view a section of the calculated route
before you reach it.
The navigation screen provides you with lots of informa-
tion while you are travelling.
A) Manoeuvre box – the next turn-off direction is shown
in the form of an arrow
B) Lane assistant – for better orientation on complex
motorways and main roads
C) Distance to your next manoeuvre
D) Next-but-one manoeuvre
E) Visual indication of direction – shown on main roads
and motorways (e.g. B315 heading towards
Göppingen)
F) Status indicators – by tapping on the buttons you
have the option of displaying, for example, the dis-
tance to your destination, the remaining journey
time, the estimated arrival time, ...
G) Battery indicator
H) 2D aid
I) Muting – muting of the system volume
J) Map extract – the map extract can be enlarged or
decreased in size via the +/- button.
K) GPS info (signal strength)
- red: no or poor signal strength
- yellow: medium signal strength
- green: good signal strength
L) Rapid access menu

Rapid access menu

The rapid access menu allows you to change settings
or call up functions during navigation. To do this, you
need to tap on the double arrow button on the naviga-
tion screen. The following functions and settings can
be called up:
Special destinations: Tapping on this icon will

take you to the screen where you can select a
special destination category, e.g. Hotels or Restaurants.
You can search for special destinations in the area
around selected locations.
Volume: Tapping on this icon allows you to
adjust volume settings.
Day/night view: Tapping on this icon allows
you to set the brightness for the navigation
screen. You can choose here between day mode and
night mode or set the device to switch automatically
between these two modes.

M) TMC status (optional)
- green: reception fine, no traffic jams reported
- yellow: reception fine, traffic jams reported, but
not on the calculated route
- red: reception fine, traffic jams reported on the
calculated route
- grey: no reception, TMC switched off or no TMC
station present
