OPERATION
- After tightening the arbor bolt be sure to remove
the wrench.
13. Install the blade guard and tighten the nut holding the
blade guard.
14. Check the function:
- The retractable blade guard must open without
touching the saw blade.
- When returning the sawhead to starting position
the retractable blade guard must automatically
encompass the saw blade.
- In the upper starting position of the sawhead the
safety lock must lock the retractable blade guard to
prevent unintentional opening.
- Check the saw blade lock – the saw blade must
turn freely.

Tensioning the Drive Belt

The drive belt, running on the right-hand side of the
sawhead assembly behind a plastic cover, needs to be
tightened if it has more than 8mm play if pressed in the
middle between the two pulleys, or the driving power is
no longer transmitted.
Checking the tension (Fig.22)
1. Swing sawhead fully up.
2. Set track arm holder to 0° (vertical) and tighten the
bevel lock screw.
3. Loosen the nut holding the blade guard and take the
blade guard off.
4. Loosen upper saw table screw, backout upper saw
table.
5. Remove the plug (F1) located next to the motor.
6. Check the drive belt tension with your finger through
the opening. Retension drive belt if it gives more than
8mm (see "Retensioning").
7. When the drive belt requires no retentioning:
- Replace plug.
- Replace upper saw table and tighten upper
sawtable screw.
Retensioning (Fig.23-26)
1. Loosen the three Allen screws (G1) of the left-hand
blade cover (G2) and remove the blade cover.
2. Loosen two Allen screws through the slots (H1) in the
housing.
3. Loosen the two Allen screws (J1) between motor
and track arm holder – use an Allen key with a short
shank length (max.10mm).
4. To tighten the drive belt, slide the motor to the rear,

through adjust the screw (K1).
5. Crosswise tighten the four loosened Allen screws
holding the motor.
6. Put the left-hand blade cover in place and tighten
screws.
7. Replace the plug.
8. Put the upper saw table on the machine, tighten
screws.
9. Install the blade guard and tighten the nut holding the
blade guard.
10. Swing sawhead fully down
- The retractable blade guard must open without
touching the saw blade.
- When returning the sawhead to the starting
the retractable blade guard must automatically
encompass the saw blade.
- In the upper starting position of the sawhead the
safety lock must lock the retractable blade guard to
prevent unintentional opening.
- Check the saw blade lock – the saw blade must
turn freely.
Replacing the Kerf Plate
DANGER!
If the kerf plate is damaged, small parts may
become stuck between kerf plate and the saw
blade and cause the saw blade to jam. Replace
a damaged kerf plate immediately! (Fig.7).
1. Take the fence (13) off.
2. Loosen the kerf plate (21) by prying it loose with a
screwdriver and then remove it. This will destroy the
kerf plate, it cannot be re-used.
3. Insert the new kerf plate making sure it snaps into
place.
4. Install the fence (13).
Adjustments
Fence adjustment (Fig.27)
1. Loosen the fastening screws (L1) of the fence.
2. Adjust the fence so that it is exactly square with the
saw blade, when the miter table (11) engages at the
0° position.
3. Tighten the fastening screws of the fence.
Mitre angle indicator adjustment (Fig.28)
1. Adjust the indicator's (M1) position after loosening the
screw (M2), until the value indicated coincides with
the current preset stop position of the rotating table.
NOTE:
The miter table engages at preset stops at the 0°, 15°,
22.5°, 30°, 45°, and 60° positions.
