Electrical Components
The electrical components are located on the power base. See figure 7.
Thermal Fuse: The thermal fuse is located on the front of the power base. If the batteries and the motors are
heavily strained (e.g., from excessive loads), the thermal fuse will reduce the amount of current going to the
electronic controller by 60%. The current will automatically return to 100% when the fuse cools to within its
normal operating temperature range.
Power Module: The power module supplies battery power to the motors. It is connected to the controller through
a controller harness.
Battery Connectors: The battery connectors provide a connection between the battery wiring harnesses and the
power module. The standard battery package has two battery connectors. The extended range package has four
battery connectors.
Circuit Breaker (not shown): The circuit breaker is self-resetting and nonserviceable. Contact your Quantum
Rehab Dealer if the circuit breaker resets itself repeatedly.
