NOTICE
Operating the motorcycle with too
little or too much oil can damage
the engine.
Place the motorcycle on level
ground. Check the oil level with
the engine oil inspection window
before each use of the vehicle. Be
sure the engine oil level is always
above the "L" (low) line and not
higher than the "F" (full) line.
ENGINE OIL AND FILTER CHANGE
Change the engine oil and oil filter at
the scheduled time. The oil should be
changed when the engine is warm so
that the oil will drain thoroughly from
the engine. The procedure is as fol-
lows:
1. Place the motorcycle on the side
stand.
2. Remove the oil filler cap 1.
3. Remove the drain plug 2 and
gasket 3 from the bottom of the
engine and drain the engine oil
into a drain pan.
 CAUTION
Hot engine oil and exhaust pipes
can burn you.
Wait until the oil drain plug and
exhaust pipes are cool enough to
touch with bare hands before
draining oil.
